I realize that I carry a lot of love inside of me. Had I a child, I would give it all to her or him, overflowing them with love, care, and compassion. Nurturing them, embracing them, protecting them, playing with them.
But I do not have a child. I’m old for a woman who became capable of conceiving a child more than 12 years ago.
Half my age ago.
Therefore, I have to give my love elsewhere. The people around me - my friends and the world around me. I will be a mother to them. What are the traits of a mother? A mother is all-giving, patient, sometimes strict or disciplined; yet full of care and resourceful.
Be a mother.
